Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:  

MEMBERS FIRST is one of the key focus areas of our ‘Own the Game’ strategy and the Global Membership Team is central to embedding and executing this key strategic program. The strategic objective is to transform the successful membership initiative to a company-wide global program at scale and to fuel the growth ambitions of the company. Overarching goal is to acquire 500M members globally by 2025 and drive engagement & loyalty through constant innovation and careful curated value proposition aimed at exciting, engaging & satisfying our key consumer groups.

The Senior Manager Membership Insights is responsible for delivering cutting-edge analytical insights to stakeholders, enabling them to make fact-based decisions. Based on multiple data sources, the role generates insights that help adidas understand members behavior and related business performance to ultimately help drive sales. In collaboration with the team, the role informs the adidas membership strategy and provides the factual basis for future consumer experiences. The role will work in a fast-paced, international, and highly strategic environment with many opportunities to develop and to gain exposure to and influence decision making at Senior Leadership levels. Success will rely on the ability to bring in new ideas to continuously evolve and adapt, strengthening the Members First execution.

Key Responsibilities:   

Scope : Responsible for delivering cutting-edge insights services to membership stakeholders, enabling them to make fact-based decisions. From acquisition strategy to CLTV optimization, build the analytical foundation, reporting and insights backlog needed to understand the optimal journey for each consumer and support the team by identifying concrete and relevant consumer problems that the product teams could solve.

Consulting
Advise stakeholders in your area of responsibility on membership insights to define goals, select appropriate KPIs, monitor performance and derive trends and opportunities.
Provide stakeholders with actionable recommendations and calls for action based on your gathered insights. Drive the translation of gathered insights into engaging, actionable, and easy to digest insights presentations.
Develop and maintain a strong stakeholder network with high level of trust that facilitates action-ability of insights.
Drive the implementation and use of data driven decision processes, in line with a fact-based decision culture.
Build a strong internal and external network, informing the adidas Membership and Digital Analytics community on the latest trends and technological advances.
Create actionable insights
Lead the continuous development of the business performance insights scope, including vision and roadmap evolution, senior leadership & board level reporting
Manage demand for insights and delivery of insights services from our senior leadership team. Oversee the collection, tracking, mining and analysis of data and the generation of fact-based insights to inform membership strategy
Drive actionable insights out of existing membership analytics
Lead and drive insights services in your scope of responsibility to stakeholders within the Global Sales team using multiple data sources.
Reporting
Co-initiate and help implement new reporting processes or refine existing structures within your area of responsibility in alignment with Global Digital Analytics Frameworks and Data Governance.
Help distill best practice guidance to markets and other adidas stakeholders to maximize the use of insights capabilities.

Global Brands: Brands Strategy & Insights teams
Markets: Business Development, Market Intelligence and Analytics Teams, Membership & Activation Teams
Others: Business Analyst Finance & Membership Analytics Teams
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
A passion for delivering data-based recommendations for quantifiable omprovements results and customer satisfaction
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with different international cultures 
Ability to handle ambiguity and untangle complex situations into actionable activities 
Distinctive strategic mindset and ability to prioritize high numbers of tasks with varying workload and importance
Very good communication skills, comfortable presenting complex topics to stakeholders at various organizational levels both in person and remotely
Very good presentation skills and storytelling
Hands on experience of Digital Analytics at enterprise level in multinational/multisite context is strongly preferred.
Strong analytics and reporting skills including business intelligence, data visualization and dashboarding.
Proven extensive hands-on experience with analytics tools and BI solutions (e.g. SQL, MicroStrategy, Tableau, and Qualtrics)
You have experience using the following type of tools and a view on how they would benefit business:
Web Analytics (e.g. Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics 360)
Voice of the Customer tool (e.g. Usabilla)
Knowledge of any of the below tools are a plus:
Advanced Analytics Tools (R, Python)
Customer Experience Measurement (Tealeaf CEM, Clicktale)
Mental flexibility, initiative, determination, and results orientation 
Fluency in written and spoken English 
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:   
University degree in business, ideally with sales or finance focus (Masters or MBA preferred) 
6+ years of in-depth experience in Digital Analytics, eCommerce/ Digital Marketing business intelligence environment or similar topics
Functional experience across loyalty or membership marketing is a plus
Cross-functional experience ideally with / digital / marketing / sales / IT
Industry: sporting goods or comparable industry 
Experience working with stakeholders and experts at various organizational levels 
Experience within different countries and/or different cultures
