Your job
Design & Build Intelligent Pipelines & Retrieval Systems: Create and manage scalable data pipelines that connect databases, schemas, and advanced retrieval functions.
Drive Automation: Develop automated systems to deliver insights at scale through smart rule-based retrieval and dynamic content generation, supporting structured, unstructured, and generated data.
Enable AI Systems: Ensure data and content are efficiently stored, indexed, and accessible via APIs, partner ecosystems, and next-gen AI workflows (e.g., RAG).
Innovate & Optimize: Identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement, advancing Statista’s data and content automation strategy.
Your skills
Experience in Data Engineering, Data Ops, or a related Backend Engineering role.
Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience using them for data processing, automation, and system integration.
Experience with API development and frameworks like Fast API.
Hands‑on experience with a cloud platform (ideally AWS).
Solid understanding of containerization (Docker), CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code (Ia C) principles.
Familiarity with NLP and/or AI/ML libraries and frameworks like Lang Chain or direct experience building Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) systems is a plus.
A keen interest in the rapidly evolving world of LLMs, prompt engineering, model output evaluation, or autonomous agent systems.
